Life in Colorado is well, fabulous – to put it into a word. There are times when the most unexpected surprises happen. This weekend was one of them. I saw that an old friend was visiting her daughter in Boulder, so I messaged her on Facebook and we shared a good part of the day together.
We had breakfast together at Chautauqua National Historic Landmark, which is nestled at the base of the flatirons in the foothills. It was as if no time had passed since Laura and I were sharing dreams together at our University of Illinois sorority house, in the middle of the prairie. Our lives have taken us to different places, we’ve experienced children, joy, love and loss. We laughed, reminisced about our forays, shared our adventures, our hopes and dreams.
I got to meet her beautiful daughter Margeaux and take some beautiful portraits. To capture moments, share joy and create memories that last a lifetime is the best part of being a wedding and portrait photographer.
